Tabletops without performative heroics

By Ivy Collins · Tags: Facilitation, Incident response

Tabletops fail when facilitators chase cinematic twists instead of observable decisions. We bias prompts toward evidence checks: what log line proves the claim, who can produce it, and what happens if the line is missing.

Pauses matter. We script short silence windows so participants can read excerpts without feeling rushed into conclusions. The cadence feels slower at first, but it reduces retractions later.

We also document what we will not simulate—physical safety, customer PII handling, or live system changes—so expectations stay grounded.
